Galwayjobconnector : News, job resources, events - Issue #28
Hello subscribers, all 285 of you:)
Welcome to digest #28 of Galway Job Connector, the last one for this summer!
Returning early September, fully recharged, ready to give you the latest info on companies hiring, housing news, Education/training, events and generally socio-economic info in Galway. I am also starting a new job next week:) so I’ll need some time to ramp up as they say.
I was all set to write this newsletter on Sunday as usual, but given the weather I decided to “postphone” this issue a little. If you are not in Galway, we are having a heatwave “Irish style” 25 degrees + Celsius, so during my spare time, you’ll find me at the Lake at Loughrea( see picture)drinking tea, and occasionally also IN the lake, at Bishops’s Corner Beach, or if I really want to push out to boat, Fanore Beach or Lehinch(or is it Lahinch)in Co. Clare.
As you may have noticed, the design of this newsletter is different, I am using a new system called GetRevue, making it much easier to add images, and content I bookmarked on Pocked! Let me know what you think at the bottom!
I have covered all the industry maps/ecosystems there are in Galway. I am hoping to create a new one related to blockchain/cryptocurrency/bitcoin and a more general one about remote working. If you work in a company that is active in any of these spaces, or know of a company that is, please let me know, so I can start creating a maps!
If you missed out on the maps I covered earlier, check out the archives here.
If you like this newsletter, you can share it via Twitter and Facebook using the buttons on the right! Thanks!

Please give me your feedback!
If you made it this far and still remember what I said in the opening paragraph, I am taking a break over the summertime. I want to restart the newsletter in September but would like your input. What did you like, what did you love, what did you learn( you didn’t know previously) , what would you like to see, or anything else that would make this newsletter even better. Do you like the new layout? Is the newsletter too long, too short, too general? Or is just right? Are you looking for a job? Are you living in Galway already or are you thinking of moving to Galway? Send me an email katleen@galwayjobconnector.com or give me the thumps up( or down) below with the relevant feedback. Thank you in advance for your candid feedback:)
Have a great summer, and look forward to connect with you all in September!
Yours in Jobhunting,
Katleen
